Google announced Tag Manager this morning that makes it ridiculously easy for digital marketers and website owners to create marketing campaigns around tags.
I’m still learning about this announcement but I can see how this gives analysts another tool to segment data from specific online campaigns, directed at a web page, and pinpoint specific drivers. Google analytics has always been able to do this to some extent but the task usually involved web administrators and time to set up the campaigns, links etc.
Now, digital marketers can do it from the tag manager profile and analysts can get top line numbers for a tagged campaign in Google analytics. This makes it easier and faster to set up online campaigns.
