Why Big Data And Research Needs Doodling
As big data takes over and more data sets are created, I think doodling will become important to help us find the bigger picture.
In short, doodling is a magical, fantastical way to link ideas and insights.
Doodling helps me as a researcher look at the insights across different data sets (like a survey, some social media and financial data) to find the common link. It helps draw that elusive dotted line from a decline in financial revenue to feedback from a support survey, for example.
It could also help managers go from insights to action to a tangible project.
